Next up is Donkey Kong Country, a game I'm not particularly crazy about. Prior to this posting, I have never achieved 101% in this game, despite many hours of trying. As a symbolic fresh start, I have deleted my previous save files; it's time to do it right.

The fact that I have never properly cleared this game is the main reason I chose this over its sequels, both of which I feel are superior to the original. Also, I suppose it is more iconic.

This playthrough is now complete.

Hey, I saw the link to this site in your sig on GameFAQs. Anyway I've got a couple questions about your videos.

Do you just play the games normally and upload them the way they are, or do you only upload them when you've gotten a near-perfect playthrough?

And since DKC is your newest video, what is your personal favorite DK game?

Really like your site and I love watching others play older games!

Generally I'll play through an old game a couple times for practice before recording it, in the case of a game I just recently bought the video that ends up being recorded will be my third completion of the game or so.

Even beating the game (or segment in the case of a long video) once usually results in a drastic improvement, for example on parts 5-8 of this video here, the first time I did it, I lost about 40 lives. The one you see here is my fourth attempt, on which I don't die at all.

As for Donkey Kong, my favourite of the Country games is 3. I can see why a lot of people choose 2, it's got a pretty cool atmosphere to it and some great music, but I like the gameplay in 3 a touch better. They really seem to have nailed the formula by that point.

Here I've listed a handful of games I've considered doing runs for. If you have a particular preference for one of these games, you can vote for it here. There's no guarantee that a game that gets a lot of votes would get done right away, but it might influence me when picking the next game to do.

Should I switch to using Youtube?

I'm just a guy who plays far too many video games. I own an Intellivision, NES, SNES, N64, Playstation, Playstation 2, Gamecube, Dreamcast, Wii, Gameboy, Gameboy Colour, Gameboy Advance, DS, and PSP, as well as far more games than I could count.

I started doing these game runs both as a way to show off and to challenge myself. Mostly the former, though.
